Original – Gift

TA-DA-DA-DA, let’s welcome Gift~ My lovely creation created just for Christmas.

Since she was created pretty recently, I have not yet think of a back story for her. Basic personality, kind and cheerful, loves to bring smile to everyone around her. She is accompanied by a playful chibi, Stella. She served as Gift’s partner but most of the things she said was not as helpful.

Please look forward to how her story will unfold. As of now, please enjoy the beautiful composited images.

Her t-pose was sculpted in zBrush, brought over to Maya for posing and brought back into zBrush for detailing. This applied to Stella, the chibi, as well. Since Christmas is near, I went will the traditional red and white for her dress and added some yellow strips. While i went a playful theme for Stella, purple. Lighted and rendered in zBrush, the renders were then brought into Nuke for composited. I noticed mistakes as I composited, going back and fore into zBrush to resolve my mistakes. The image below will show how I improved upon my previous composites.

From soulless looking girl to more like cute looking high school girl. I then enhanced it with background and particle effects. As for the final image, I increased the contrast and fixed some compositing issues. Despite the most of the minor mistakes I had made, I am satisfied with the outcome.
