Original – Eve
Hello readers, thank you once again for visiting my website. Today, I am going to introduce another character into my <Dream Doll Universe> series. Let’s welcome Eve, clap* clap* clap*. Before I continue to introduce her in details, here is her biography.
Short history of her.
She was created after WWII as a android cat nurse since cat gave people a friendlier feel. Soon after, she met with an devastating accident and was found along Japan seashore. She was then treated and given a new body but nothing seemed to be in her favour. A life changing incident happened and she was forced into hiding.
As for now, her new chapter begins.
Eve is currently working in a neighbourhood hospital in city area as a nurse. With a sudden increase of health care costs and crime rates, the hospital was packed with patients, ranging from young to old. Eve noticed that some elderly patients do not even have anyone to visit them after they are admitted in be it overnight check-ups or minor accident. Their next of kin could not be contacted. She did also noticed that a kid was all alone. He was sharing a room with Hana-san (an old lady) and some elderlies. Hana-san did shared with Eve that his parents did not survive from an accident which she overheard from other nurses.
Eve tried to get close to him by buying him some monthly manga magazine. She did managed to pull their relationship close to a point of older sister and younger brother. She even promised Kid that she will visit him every night after her shift ends. However due to increasing healthcare costs and lack to manpower, hospital decided to prioritize those who can afford and those who can’t. Eve found it very unreasonable and was worried that Hana-san and the Kid were not provided with sufficient attention, she tried her best to earn money by working multiple shifts. Due to her working shifts, Eve was unable to visit Kid on time. On most of the nights when Eve paid visit, Kid was fast asleep. Kid began to misunderstand.
Just on Eve’s off day, she paid Hana-san and Kid a visit. She found that Kid was upset. She tried to strike new conversations with Kid but was looped back to the promise they made. Eve tried to explain but was not given a chance. Kid knew that his parents were died and complained that Eve did not spent enough time with him recently. He then told Eve that his parents and him were going to amusement park that day but ended up in a car accident. He also stated that that his parents promised to spend time with him but they broke it so did Eve. Eve felt bad. She step forward and attempted to give him a hug but kid gave an excuse to go back to his room.
Eve was sent to nearby hospital to help due to manpower shortage the next day. Later that evening, Kid was pushing Hana-san for a walk in garden, they talked about Eve and stuffs. Their conversation was soon interrupted by man in black walking past them, he blindfolded the kid and threw him on his shoulder. Hana-san jumped out of her wheelchair and grabbed onto kidnapper’s leg. The kidnapper shook his leg vigorously causing she to roll back on concrete platform. The kidnapper then hurried back to his van.
Eve returned after her shift ended. She had a few amusement park tickets and some cupcakes with her. To her surprise, she found Hana-san being attended at minor injury unit. She rushed forward and clarified the situation. Upon knowing kid was kidnapped, she immediately went after the kidnapper. She summoned her suit while giving pursue.
Rain started getting heavier, Eve was able to track them speeding on the highway. Raindrops seeped into her, obstructing most of her usable mechanic parts. She could barely hear the kid’s breathing and heart rate. Gunshots could be heard while Eve was focusing on deflecting the rounds. The buff kidnapper gave the van’s door a powerful kick, sending the door towards Eve. Eve was able to stop and dodge the obstacle, preventing more accidents. As soon as Eve was beside the vehicle, the driver ramped into her, causing her suit to tear and blasted away. The whole van overturned and sent flying out from the fence into the nearly public garden.
Eve recovered from the blast quickly and headed to the accident site via the thick smoke and explosion seen from far. Upon arriving, kidnapper and Kid were no where to be found however she managed to find some footprints on the muddy soil. Gun shots were heard while she gave chase all the way to central park. The kidnapper pointed his gun at Kid’s head and tough arm around his neck. Eve was on pins and needles, she was demanded to drop her scythe. Even after she dropped her scythe, the kidnapper showed no intention of letting go of Kid. Eve became more nervous and frightened. She tried to calm the kidnapper down but it did not seem to work.
Kid looked at Eve despairingly. When she was running out of ideas, an glowing projectile flew passed her and hit the kidnapper’s arm. She took this opportunity and grab her scythe. She knocked him back, freeing the kid. In return to his anger, he fired off multiple shots. One pierced through kid’s body while another hit his arm. Eve became furious and she hit his vital acupuncture points rapidly causing him to fall onto his knee. His body then slammed onto the ground unconsciously. She immediately ran towards Kid, holding him in her arm while trying to search medical aids from her waist pouch. Kid grabbed onto her hand tightly with tears rolling off his cheeks. Huge puddle of blood can be seen oozing out from his wounds. Eve phoned for ambulance. She collapsed immediately after.
Eve woke up days later on a hospital’s bed. Her hand was held by the sleeping Kid beside her covered in blanket. She watched the television as news reporter announced that current financial minister made his public apologization and will be stepping down from his position. While the news reporter continued, Hana-san walked with a tray of breakfast. Surprised by the awakened Eve, she placed the tray down and gently tapped on Kid’s shoulder. Kid rubbed his eyes and saw Eve’s face brightly lit by the morning sun. He lunged forward and hugged her. Apologizing to each other while their eye were brimming with tears. A few unfamiliar faces walked in smiling and stopped before Eve’s bed. They were Hana-san’s children and grandchildren. They were here to bring Hana-san home after they were out of financial crisis and they decided to adopt Kid. They also gave her their old apartment for thanksgiving.
They proceed to hospital’s roof garden for family photo taking with everyone smiling brightly at the camera.
End of Prologue
And I thought, since Eve was a nurse, I modelled her in nurse uniform. On the other hand, I’m interested in her casual wear too. Therefore, there are 2 versions of her.

I really find this song catchy and went ahead and used it. The song is Freesia, sang by (K)NoW_NAME, an anime ending from Sakura Quest.

Similar to previous projects, weapon was created in Maya. Rigging and posing were also done in Maya and then imported back to zBrush for detailing. Lighting and rendering were done inside zBrush and exported to Nuke for compositing. It took me a while to get the composition correct since I’m going back and forth to fix my model and render again.
As much as I enjoy sculpting her, I did encounter some problems along the way. Since it was my first time designing armour, I had to research a lot of references, futuristic and feminine types of armour but most of the references online are most full body suit which did not meet my intention. Other than creating armour, colour theory is also one of my weaker points. As I did some colour theory on my initial designs, the composited will have problems blending in with the background. I will then have to revisit the colour palette website for other colour templates. And for some reason, when I finished compositing her, I noticed that her scythe changed from dark blue to almost black. I am still looking for solution though, but it does not look as bad as it seems. I will try to practise colour theory more to avoid this kind of problem.
But oh well, all well ends well. I like the final images very much. I did learn new techniques while doing this so I’m happy:)
I intend to 3D print them out once I have my hands on a affordable 3D printer. Hopefully the print will turn out well. As for now, I will try to expand on my <Dream Doll Universe> by introducing new characters into it and expanding the story. So I hope everyone will look forward to my new works. P.S. I will try to come up with amazing characters and strong story for this universe that I am creating. But don’t expect a male character since most of my characters will be ladies.
Why most of my characters are ladies you asked?
Because I’m a guy and I likes girls~ Hehe:) I feel that there are many ways in designing costumes and hairstyles for girls than for boys. Their poses are much more dynamic.
